So Chem 2 has been done. I wrote out a big long post but I think I accidentally deleted it and I can't be bothered to write it all out again (partly because I can't remember it!) So it was a good exam, although initially I thought it had gone quite badly.
On the unofficial mark scheme I think I've got in the range of 80-85 out of 100 which is a borderline A or a good A, depending on the grade boundaries. Hopefully they will be low for this exam, many people found it difficult.
So tomorrow it the last 'proper' exam, Geography Unit 1. It is worth 70% of my AS grade so there is a lot riding on it. I just need to memorise the case studies now, as well as having a quick look over the content. Wish me luck! :)

AS Biology... finished!!
So that's it, AS Biology is done. Today's paper wasn't too bad, although there were a few ambiguous questions which will hopefully lower the grade boundaries. I made some silly mistakes :( but hopefully it won't cost me too much. It was certainly better than I had expected, so I hope I've picked up a few marks which will boost my overall grade.
I've looked at the TSR unofficial mark scheme and concluded that I got 64-67 out of 85 which is an A according to all of the previous grade boundaries. It will be interesting to see how accurate this prediction will be, Biology mark schemes are notoriously stringent!
I have General Studies tomorrow, so I'm not too bothered. Then it's Chemistry on Wednesday. Although I've done well in the other units, I still need to do well in order to make life easier for me next year! So need to revise, revise, revise! See ya! :)

2 down, 6 to go!
Did my English Literature exam on World War One today. Two hours of pure, unadulterated writing. It's difficult to know how you've done because it's very subjective, but I think I did okay. I really need to do well in this exam to get an A because my coursework grade wasn't the best. Hopefully I'll be okay; I was doing well in my mocks.
So, time to forget about English, hopefully that's the last time I ever do an exam essay on this subject (touchwood). I've got a break of about 4 days before my next exam, Biology unit 2. But then I've got exams every day for the next four days so I really need to get revising.
Back to work!

First exam... done and dusted!
So I had the Biology Unit 1 exam today, as the first of my eight exams. It went okay, although I made some stupid errors on some questions and I just completely didn't get one question, on coeliac disease. After talking to people about it, it seemed the most obvious of answers but alas I just didn't pick it. The rest of the paper went well, I was hoping for a few questions to come up like phagocytosis and the heart and they duly did. So after perusing the wonderful non official mark scheme on TSR, I seem to have reached the conclusion that I got in the region of 48-51 out of 60 for that test. That's a borderline A if you look at Jan 2012 boundaries, but hopefully they'll be a bit nicer for this paper and grade boundaries will be low! It will be interesting to see if my prediction is true. I also have Biology Unit 2 next Monday so hopefully I can make my overall grade look better by doing well in that.
So no time to rest, I have my English Literature paper on Wednesday worth 60% of AS so I really need to work for that, learning quotes and how to write essays!
One down, seven to go! The joys of exams eh...

A bit about me
Hi everyone!
This is my first foray into the world of blogging. I'm doing it primarily as a way of documenting my daily life (very sad I know) but when I read it again I can see what I need to improve on, as well as providing a few laughs when I look back on it later.
I'm currently at the stage of revising fervently for my AS level exams, which begin next week with Biology. I have 8 exams in total crammed in to about 15 days. I'll be glad when it's all over!
So that's a brief introduction, if anyone is actually reading this then please do comment if you can.
